The mud really does'nt look that bad at this point. But the worst is yet to come. DRinda505 was able to make the ride into Taos to the Hotel. AtomicXRer, made it also. Accept he was about an hour and half behind DRinda505. My bike eventually failed to go forward. My front tire would just slide, it would not even roll! In just one wheel rotation the mud would cake back on just as thick. I had to leave the bike stuck in the mud. Mtech1950, was haveing clutch problems and was just getting down right tired. Myself and Mtech1950 starting walking!
It was hard to walk with my racing boots in that slick mud. For about 45 minutes AtomicXRer was behind us! We were walking faster then he could travel on the bike! We would hear him start the bike go for about a minute then stall. A few minutes later the bike starts up and then again silence. Eventually the mud started to ease up. AtomiXRer eventually caught to us and went into Taos. DRinda505 made it to the hotel where he got slojoe to bring the truck in to pick us up. By the time they picked us up it was after 8 pm, and we had walked 6 miles.
Remeber Rober! Well he fell and had to walk about 3 mile to the highway where he hitched a ride to the Taos Gorge bridge. He could not pick up his bike becuase of the slick mud! We picked him up in the truck about 9 pm. Then we headed into town for some dinner.
